I don't know how we did it but the feature I shot last June is currently scheduled for wide release (2500+ theatres) in October. Here is the myspace page for the project. I know that the combination of my stellar crew and the technology of the Redrock adapter made this project stand apart from all the projects that don't make it into the theater. Let this little victory prove that HVX is not just a consumer camera for home movies and is is a viable tool for acquisition of images for ANY final output or purpose. As the DP, I had the choice of any format, including 35mm. I chose the HVX/Redrock combo and risked failure to prove it can be done, and that you don't need to be a hollywood elite with a bag full of cash to succeed. Again, I owe a lot of that to my stellar crew that did such a great job. |
